Islander 55
CREWED SAIL & EXPLORATION CHARTERS

- If you simply prefer to let someone else do the “heavy” work of sailing, cooking etc ,then a fully crewed sailing charter might be just right for you. We are very happy to introduce the brand new fabulous Wharram Islander 55 “ Tiare “ in our program. She undertakes long and short charters in Thailand , Malaysia and in Burma .

Apart from the obvious luxury of being able to just lay back, relax and be pampered aboard you also have the benefit of the skippers’ intimate knowledge of the area. And whenever you do want to take the helm you are more then welcome to do so. Skipper Alex will be happy to teach you the basics ( and more) of navigation, sail handling etc.

On our crewed charters you will have unlimited use of our sea kayaks. Kayaks are brilliant for exploring the sea caves, hongs, creeks and tunnels of which there are hundreds , if you know where to actually find them of course !
Our crewed sail & exploration trips will also take you to the proverbial pearly white beaches fringed with coconut trees, lapped on by gin-clear water in which you find colourful coral reefs with outstanding snorkeling opportunities.

‘Tiare’s” crew consists of skipper Alex and cook/hostess Anna who also own the yacht together . They come from from Spain but both speak excellent English. “Tiare” ( = “flower in Polynesian) was custom designed for Alex and Anna and professionally built at the PT Pal shipyard in Surabaya, Indonesia.
The yacht was launched in June 2005.
She is beautifully finished with lots of varnished teak and with obvious minute attention to detail. Four double cabins with ensuite facilities are at the guests’ disposal, if desired larger groups can easily be accomodated. This boat is certainly not short on space !

The menu consists of a mouthwatering array of both European and Thai dishes. If you should have any dietary requirements or preferences , please let us know and we will plan accordingly. During each trip there are usually a couple of beach barbecues . Alex is a skilled angler so you can expect to eat freshly caught fish !

We have selected two standard itineraries, which offer an optimum blend of exciting exploration, exhilarating sailing, great snorkeling, stunning scenery, picture postcard beaches and, for those who want , some pretty good nightlife too.

These suggested itineraries are by no means fixed , longer, shorter or different programs , it’s all possible .
We are happy to advise on alternative, custom made itineraries for you, just contact us with your ideas.
“Taire” cruises the entire coast of Thailand and also in the Mergui Archipelago in Burma.
